I’ve never understood this praying for the victims nonsense. Praying for them to do what, precisely? To come back to life? To not go to hell? To go to heaven? To spend less time in purgatory? Hasnt their post life outcome already been predetermined either by their simple belief / faith in Jebus as god (or their lack of belief); and/ or their good works; or their good works alone, depending on which contradictory verses and absurd doctrine the given christian embraces? At most, it might make sense for them to hope that one thing happens instead of another, but even that is debatable because it might put them in the position of hoping for the opposite of what their god wills. Isnt that wrong? The only firmly defensible course of action is to hope and pray that Gods will be done — which of course it will, since nothing can thwart Gods will.
