I’ve recently been asked numerous times why I post so honestly on Facebook. That’s pretty easy to answer - it is because I make a difference in people’s lives by sharing my journey with them. There is so much fakery in the world around us that sometimes we need someone to tell it like it really is and to let others know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. So, here’s some honesty for you this evening: I, too, have dimples on my ass. My bank account is nearly empty due to the cost of moving. I’m concerned about my droopy belly and sagging inner thighs as I lose dramatic amounts of weight. I’m fretting about all the additional wrinkles that finally make me look my age. It’s been truly terrifying at times to think about being nearly 50 and transforming my life from top to bottom. Am I going to turn into a lonely old lady with 20 cats? I even sometimes freak out thinking about all the new opportunities that I have responsibility for, and the people who are counting on me. Oh yes, I sob in the shower more times than not lately too. These are all just little annoyances or fears that rise, but I got to wake up today and am blessed beyond belief! These things dont mean I have a bad life or anything is wrong -- it just is. But as humans, we do struggle at times dont we? Especially when we think we are different. I am you. You are me. I will keep doing what I do as long as my inbox is filled with messages like the excerpt below: “I just wanted to let you know how much I truly appreciate your posts and insights. I love that you are you and you make no apologies. That is so few and far between now. You help me remember that I can be both imperfect and positive without being the nut that everyone seems to think I am. So many people sit in silence and expect everything to magically be okay. I pray that what you share helps others to reach out and connect too.” The words I share are seeds of love & truth and the messages I receive from you reiterate that many are reaching for the sun and trying to grow. For this I am truly grateful and humbled. We are all in this together, friends. I love you. #AuthorMgRhoades #SpeakYourTruth
