When Wouldnt It Be Nice was eventually issued as a 45, it was a pretty good bargain because the flip side was God Only Knows...1967-Four months after their hit TV show debuted, the Monkees performed live for the very first time to a sell-out crowd at The Cow Palace in San Francisco...1968-On NBC-TV, Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, debuted “from beautiful downtown Burbank”. Its reported that the show used 260 pages of jokes in each hour-long episode. The first season earned Laugh-In 4 Emmy awards. And, you can bet your bippy, Nielsen rated it the #1 show on television for the next two seasons. Among others, Laugh-In helped launch the careers of future stars like Goldie Hawn, Lily Tomlin and Richard Dawson...1969-At the Apple Studios in London, the Beatles began recording songs for what would eventually become the Let It Be album. Keyboard musician Billy Preston, who was just visiting the studio, was invited by George Harrison to help the band out. Preston did more than help out.
