Two more new guys in the house tonight. One is a baby rat, cute little boy rat, quite pretty actually. Hopefully he will do well but I dont have a lot of success with wild rats. But will do what I can to help him and if he makes it will release him on the east end of the farm. The other new kid is a boy about two to three years old. He was someones pet and has been given up to us. I didnt get home until after midnight so I just got his cage set up and him into it tonight. He let me pick him up without any argument and he let me pet him through the cage. We will see how he feels about things tomorrow. I doubt he will be releasable but time will tell. The prairie dog girls are really starting to come around now. Whenever I go visit with them they smile and come to the side of the cage for some loving. This is especially true for the one that was named Crazy. I knew she was not crazy, she just needed some love and food to make her happy. Precious is getting more comfortable with coming over for loving too. Hopefully soon they will be ready for some photos. I managed to get all I wanted done today. I was a bit stiff and sore this morning but as the day went by I seemed to improve. I got the rest of the feed/hay and managed to get it into the shed. The one bag fell down between the front and back seats so it was not easy getting that one out of there, but finally I managed. Everyone got fed, chopped up two days worth of food, and cleaned all the cages in the one room (this is the new cages), which took me until after 11 pm. By the time I got the bowls all washed, waters filled and drove home it was nearly 12:30 am. Fed the wee guys and washed up the dishes, ate a bit of dinner and now it is nearly time for sleep. Spunky will be mad but I just did not have enough energy tonight to get her out.
