JENNIFER UPDATE 33 This is the week of ifs. Today I spent 40 - TopicsExpress

JENNIFER UPDATE 33 This is the week of ifs. Today I spent 40 mins going through Jennifers case from A to Z with her Renal Consultant who heads up Transplant Recovery. He has seen a lot but admits they constantly face new challenges. Thorough, open, honest and all with great respect, is how I would describe our conversations. So to the ifs. Tomorrow a blood test will be run to check the level of calcium. If the level is the same or below that of the last result they will conclude Jennifers medical needs are met, as the bacterial infection is under control as is the viral infection and it looks as if the confusion is just beginning to diminish a little. All this means she can be passed to a Rehab Home where her mobility and eating issues will be addressed. They have located such a home no more than a mile and a half from our home here in Sheldon, which brings me to the second if. If there is still a room vacant later in the week then she may well be transferred there. The third if has been alreday addressed. It was my concern about Renal care with the Coventry Team with Jennifer living in a Birmingham Care Home for a while. No question, the consultant said, she will remain their patient and not be transferred to anyone elses care. So I am hoping to be able to give a positive report at the end of the week where the potentials have become reality. Again, we can only say a simple thank you for your continuing stand with us in these challenging events. Richest blessings to everyone of you. Thank you, Jennifer and Bill.
