James - Servant Of The Lord Jesus Christ - - - James was the brother of Jesus Christ. He was also one of the twelve Apostles. But when he addressed his letter to the twelve tribes, he made no mention of his blood-kinship to Christ or his high position as an Apostle. He called himself, “a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.” It is a higher honor to be Jesus servant than to be His fleshly kin.
