Jane Rowley, a full-time resident of Culebra since 2006 and part-time resident since the 1990s, died peacefully in her home on Culebra, October 31, 2014. Jane was a retired veterinarian who previously owned and managed veterinary clinics on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and was licensed in wildlife rehabilitation. She appreciated the beauty of nature on Culebra and enjoyed walking her well-known dog, Hounddog, on the beach and in town. Jane would have wanted any remembrances in her honor to go to Animal Welfare of Culebra. A memorial service is tentatively planned for December 27 when her family can be present. She is survived by a niece and a sister who live in the Carolinas.
