Japhena Says: MY MOVIE MENTION -Beyond The Lights- Hit or Miss? Definite HIT! I attended a private screening of this film, prior to its release, and participated in a Q&A with Gina Prince-Bythewood, screenwriter/director, and Terilyn A. Shropshire, editor. I was intrigued and fully engaged while watching this movie. The film encompasses so much of what we see and experience; real life! It was also interesting to hear Gina speak of some of the similarities between her and Gugus character (Lead actress). Youll leave the theater knowing your money was well spent. If I could change one thing what would it be?...the ending. Because the film was so inspiriting, I anticipated the final frame being just as momentous.
