Jeet Kune Do favors formlessness so that it can assume all forms - TopicsExpress

Jeet Kune Do favors formlessness so that it can assume all forms and since Jeet Kune Do has no style, it can fit in with all styles. As a result, Jeet Kune Do utilizes all ways and is bound by none and, likewise, uses any techniques which serve its end. Its a Bruce Lee kind of morning. I feel like people who dismiss JKD as the base of ones martial arts education are missing the point of it. The idea is not to limit yourself to one art at all, but instead to try everything, taking what is useful, and discarding what is not. JKD is not itself an art, but a way of thinking and a way of life. Based on his writings/teachings Bruce Lee expected us to evolve beyond what he even imagined at the time. I am thankful to my instructors who encourage me to seek training with new partners and at new places. Ready to do work tomorrow night.
