Jesus is the temple (Passage for reading Luke 8: 40-56) The ruler of the synagogue (temple) perhaps took leave of the work in the temple and came to Jesus and he fell down at His feet, and besought him that he would come into his house. For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. When Jesus came to his house his beloved daughter was already dead. Jesus commanded her to arise. And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway and he told them to give her meat. And her parents were astonished. Perhaps the ruler of the synagogue should have realised that Jesus is the real temple indeed not his synagogue. When Solomon built the marvellous temple of Jerusalem and did sacrifices and prayed, God replied to him, If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. If God and Jesus then is the true temple, we shall humble ourselves to Him and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways; then will He hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal us, our families and lives. It is written in Revelation 21:22 - And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. He said to the Jews, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. But he spake of the temple of his body. Jerusalem temple formalities were gone with the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The curtain was torn apart. Any poor, destitute, sinner can enter the most holy place of the temple – Jesus. The broken, depressed lady having an issue of blood twelve years, who had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, came behind Him and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stopped. The glory and power of the Holy Spirit always flows like a river from Him (House of Prayer, Sunday, 01-09-2013).
