Jobs? Wisconsin is last in the Midwest. Spending? Wisconsin is spending more than at any time in the history of the state. Borrowing? Wisconsin is borrowing more than in a generation? Deficits? Wisconsin is facing a $2.2 billion deficit going into the next budget. Education? Wisconsin had the largest cut to K-12 education in state history and only a fraction of that funding has been restored. All of this is the result of the actions by Republicans who have been in unilateral control of state government for every session since 2011. So what’s their first priority moving forward? Is it to address jobs, spending, borrowing, deficits, education or any other pressing issues facing Wisconsin? Unfortunately, no. They’re ignoring the real problems facing our great state and instead theyre picking a fight with the citizens that didn’t vote for them. In this case, it’s the working class banding together to bargain for a better life for them and their co-workers. Wisconsin can be better than this.
