Joe Biagini tossed six effective innings and Ydwin Villegas hit a two-run home run to lead the San Jose Giants to a 6-4 victory over the Inland Empire 66ers on Monday evening at San Manuel Stadium. With the win, the Giants take three out of four in the series and finish their seven-game road trip with a 4-3 record. Biagini (3-3), who took a shutout into the sixth inning, struck out a season-high eight batters during his stint on the mound. The right-hander allowed two runs (both earned) on four hits and issued two walks. At one point in his start, Biagini retired 12 consecutive Inland Empire batters. Villegas (1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI) home run was his first of the season to lead the San Jose offensive attack. milb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140602&content_id=77977028&fext=.jsp&vkey=recap&sid=t476
