Fremont High School Class of 1984 30 Year Reunion August 8th through August 10th 2014, Los Angeles California Olympians Reunion Planning Newsletter (Issue #9) April 1, 2014 The 1984 Class of John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, California would like to inform all “Olympians” that thirty (30) year reunion plans are underway, and the reunion will be held August 8th through August 10th 2014 in the Los Angeles, California area. We would love for you to come and connect with old friends, coaches, faculty and the administration of the “Mont.” The tentative schedule of events is the following: 1. August 8, 2014 Meet & Greet Bonfire Beach Party at Dockweiler State Beach, (Pick-up Reunion Registration Packet); 2. August 9, 2014 Reunion Banquet & Dance at The Olympic Collection in West Los Angeles, California; 3. August 10, 2014 Family Picnic at Westchester Park in Los Angeles, California. The reunion committee has decided to have a 1980’s dress code (e.g., Fila, Ellesse, Sergio Tacchini, etc… sweatsuits, Jordache, Sergio Valente, Sasson, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, etc… jeans or shorts, Lacoste Alligator & Ralph Lauren Polo shirts, et cetera) for the family picnic. The reunion committee has canceled the yacht dinner cruise and instead is in the process of negotiating for you a lovely night of fine dining and dancing at “The Olympic Collection” (ocbanquet/). You and your guest will have an option of a chicken, fish, filet mignon or vegetarian entrée. The Olympic Collection is a luxurious banquet, conference, and entertainment center located in West Los Angeles at 11301 W. Olympic Blvd., #204, Los Angeles, CA. As a result of the foregoing, we have reduced the total amount of the reunion registration from One Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars ($125) to Seventy-Five Dollars ($75), and we will return Fifty ($50) to every classmate that has already paid, no later than August 9, 2014, which is the day of our aforementioned banquet dinner. You will not be able to pay at the door for any of our thirty year reunion events, you must pay in advance. We now have only twenty three (23) slots remaining for our reunion banquet. The registration for same continues on a first come, first served basis. The first thirty (30) Olympians to pay for the reunion, in full, are entered into a raffle to win a gift basket valued at $500. If you are one of the first thirty (30) Olympians to pay for the reunion, and you pay for a guest at the same time, your guest’s name will also be entered into the raffle. The registration and program advertising fees allow the committee to lease all of the venues we will be using, and cover the costs associated with hosting all of the scheduled reunion events. There is no charge for your kids to attend the picnic on Sunday. To pay for the reunion, please go to the website we have set up at fremontclassof1984.eventbrite/. If you can’t afford to pay the whole $75 per person at once, you can pay $25 per person each month, if you start this month. For those classmates that have a business they would like to advertise, a business card they want to share for networking purposes, or for those that just want to give a “Shout Out” to someone, the reunion committee is putting together a reunion program. Each person that pays his or her registration fee(s) will be provided a copy of the program in their registration packet(s) at the Bonfire Beach Party or The Savoy Entertainment Center that Friday night. The cost to advertise in the program is as follows: 1. $20 Business Card; 2. $35 Quarter Page; 3. $50 Half Page; 4. $100 Full Page. For anyone wishing to advertise in our 30 year reunion program, we have attached to this email the form to be completed and submitted with payment by June 30, 2014. Please print, complete, and return it to us as soon as possible. Ask your goods and services providers, business associates, colleagues, friends and/or family, if they would like to advertise in our program, which will be provided to over 100 mature, middle class consumers.
