Jude 3-4 "My dear friends, at a time when I was eagerly looking forward to writing you about the the salvation that we all share, I have been forced to write to you now and appeal to you to fight hard for the faith which has been once and for all entrusted to the saints. Certain people have infiltrated among you, and they are the ones you had a warning about, in writing long ago, when they were condemned for denying all religion, turning the grace of our God into immorality, and rejecting our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ." I can remember times at East Bakersfield Nazarene waaaay back when, that the then Pastor, Russell Wolfe would begin preaching one way, and then mid sermon, he would have to stop and go in a different direction because WE were off in our own little worlds doing OUR thing. Just as Jude was forced to write and appeal to us to fight hard, Pastor Russ would do the same thing. "ARE YOU HEARING WHAT I AM SAYING" he would yell. And it would definitely wake us up..... Point being, is anyone PLEADING with us today? Are WE pleading with anyone? Have we lost our passion to truly plead the gospel? Maybe we should listen, to what Jude has to say. Father we thank you today for passionate preachers that truly appeal,to us to fight hard foe the faith. Bless each of us now as WE pray for passion.... In Jesus name...
