First Aid Awareness Workshop Somerset West Neighbourhood Watch was pleased to host the workshop in association with Emergency Medical Operations, who funded the event. The workshop took place at the Library Hall in Oak Street, Somerset West and was attended by both NHW Patrollers and SAPS staff. All attendees, even those who had some knowledge of First Aid gained relative & up to date methods to deal with a range of medical emergencies such as victims of car accidents, bleeding, unconsciousness, Cardiac Arrest & Epileptic fits. We cannot expect to have the intensive knowledge that our excellent Teams from EMO have but we hope to be able to make a difference to someones life if we are first on the scene of an incident. It is intended to hold further workshops in due course for NHW Patrollers & Saps.
