Juicing seems to become a huge craze every January. It gets hyped up as a weight loss, detox and health boosting tool. First of all, if you have a functioning liver and kidneys your body detoxes itself. Yes, juicing allows you to get in more fruits or veggies than you may normally eat which is great, but you miss out on the fiber and youre just overloading yourself with carbs. This could spike your blood sugar which leads to more fat storage. Youre missing out on fat and protein as well which is what makes a meal complete. And if you do lose weight from it its likely to come back after you start eating real food again. If you like juicing you should still do it, but have it alongside some eggs and coconut oil!
