Just a giggle from my past..... I am pretty sure I posted this before but I got hit with the memory again this morning while out driving and listening to 60s on 6 Sirius radio. This song came on and brought on the first smile Ive had in the past coupla days! It was late 80s I was just divorced and while at work this absolutely freakin beyond Cute Young Lady started to spend a lot of time in my work area. Comes over one day and says...Hey Im going for a slice of Pizza wanna come?...(innocently) Sure give me a second. Now a couple of slices of New York Pizza and a cute little Italian Girl sitting across from me seemed to me to be the way things Always were and Always should be! We had fun and I did love her flirting and did do some myself in return . On the walk back to work as we got close to the job she said: WOW that was a great First Date...I laughed...and stupidly said: Nah, wed have a nicer first date than that................Great When.....I heard it and a thousand thoughts seemed to fly around in my first time in a long time spinning head!....Shes 30... THIRTY years younger than you Dude! You have nothing in common...the things you will reference in your moments of attempted humor will fall as flat as if she was deaf!....This is Crazy!!!. ...What night is good for you? I heard myself say! The next night LOL I picked her up to take her to her favorite restaurant, Cookys Steak Pub top floor Queens Center Mall....I said if youd like a nice steak we could go to the city to The Old Homestead or to Brooklyn and hit Peter Lugers...No I LOVE Cookys....(hey I told her, it was her choice anything she wanted to do for the evening was fine)...Well despite Muzak (elevator music) playing softly in the background we actually were having a very nice time..........and DAYAMNNNN she was so freakin Cute!....Reached her hand over the table and rested it in front of me...HEY! I had to hold it!...Still thinking to myself this is crazy...she thinks I am some kind of Tom Selleck Im looking at her like shes Sally Field Gidget LOL...So this song comes on the Muzak Machine and Richard Harris is sounding good to me...My Little Gidget says: God I hate this re-make of Donna Summers song!.....(OHBOY)...The night ended with us going to see About Last Night (Rob Lowe/ Demi Moore)....(Oh Boy).......I drove her home afterwards and walked her to her door....She lived in her Moms House...She says..Come on in I want you to meet my Mom, shes great!...Ah No thank you, work tomorrow...Hey Me too so what!...Her Mom then opened the door, had a Big Smile on her face...(Oh My GOD Shes Freakin Gorgeous!!!)....I stayed for coffee and even had time to privately explain to her mom that she had an incredible YOUNG daughter who was... Incredibly Young and Wonderful....To make a long story longer Gidget and I remained great friends I as mentor and she as great YOUNG Lady.....Her Mother and I did date a few times...which Gidget thought was Awesome......................All is Well That Ends Well I always say! :-) https://youtube/watch?v=tRwYQgk05DY
