Urdu, a 100% Indian language, suffered biggest injustice when slowly it got linked with Muslims. People belonging to all faiths used it once upon a time, heres a post by friend Gau Kap that says his grandfather read Gayatri Mantra in Urdu. Gau Kap : It took me ages to actually figure out, what my Grandfather recited in the morning, with folded hands and made me do the same. I mistook it for long to be some Urdu Prayer, however later realized it to be an Urdu format of Gayatri Mantra. It cane to me as a bliss to realize the same, after I did a research on the same on the internet. Well it was a pleasure to learn to have had such Religious Family, who instilled in me from very childhood all that I am today, keen to lure me back to a memory lane of the so cold childhood, remembering my Grandpa looking on to the sun with folded hands,teaching me how to do the chant & Pray. It was there with me for all that long. Honestly it was a pleasure, devotion, a spiritual longing, awakening and blessing in disguise. As if Lord himself came down, helping me figuring it out from nowhere to somewhere, and here it was beside me, in me. Thank You Grandpa.
