Just a quick post, if you are using TA for FY 14 you will have to wait to apply until 9 September 13. Please see the information posted on the AF Portal and copied below for more details! Due to a pending release of FY14 Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) program and IT updates, Airmen will not be able to apply for FY14 courses before 9 Sep 13. Please submit your MilTA request for FY14 courses on or after 9 Sep 13. There are no exceptions to this date. On 9 Sep 13, Airmen will be able to apply for FY14 courses using the existing system in place via the AF Virtual Education Center (AFVEC). The Air Force is NOT stopping or suspending MilTA. However, in order to avoid confusion, it is necessary to delay the approval of MilTA requests until the FY14 MilTA changes are released and the IT system is in place. Airmen are cautioned to avoid making financial decisions or commitments without an approved MilTA form. Financial decisions made without an approved MilTA form will be the responsibility of the airmen. For courses starting before 1 Oct 13, Airmen may still apply for MilTA under the current guidelines.
