Just a reminder… 5.0 out of 5 stars for: The GATE: Things my Mother told Me tinyurl/qfx4w5k A TRUE GEM!! Another brilliant novel by Stan I.S. Law — although quite different from the metaphysical realm that stretches the imagination and demands a second pondering well after reading; which I have come to love. This novel, by contrast, is very human and shows the life of an elderly lady, battling dementia in her own way. Law’s ability to write a compelling story that touches the heart whilst adding that famous pinch of humor is just amazing. This novel has everything you’d expect from this author and once you have finished reading you are bound to sit thinking about life and what it’s all about. Touching, very real and with such richness and depth to the characters that works perfectly. A fantastic read that I’m sure most people will enjoy.
