Just a reminder that Monday 17 November is World Prematurity Day. A time to honour the struggles of our miracle babes born before their time and also a time to remember those who lost their fight to survive. Again the NPF and its member groups (PIPA, Lil Aussie Prems Foundation,Yasminahs Gift of Hope, Tiny Sparks WA, The Premmie Promise Foundation, Walk with Wings & Lodden Mallee Kids) will be asking all prem families and their friends to participate by wearing purple on the 17th, sharing your photos on the WPD facebook page as well as the member groups pages and lighting a candle at 7pm. WPD candles can be purchased by going to prembaby.org.au/shop/ You can also use World Prematurity Day to show your support of the NPF by organising a fundraiser to benefit the NPF on the 17th (eg wear purple day at work, purple cupcake morning tea to name a few) or by making a donation in honour of your prem by clicking on the above donation tab. Note landmarks in all capital cities will be lit up purple on the evening of the 17 November to honour our prems.
