Just about all of youve heard the stories...when I was in - TopicsExpress

Just about all of youve heard the stories...when I was in elementary school, my mom told me she was going to send me to the Juvenile Detention Center, as she was falling face first down the stairs, because I was running late, & about to miss the bus one morning. One time I heard her tell a lady that my macaroni art looked like a baby did it (devastating to hear.. especially because it was already my second year of 2nd grade). As I was growing up, she would spend most of the time in her walk-in closet, with all of her favorite shoes and clothes.. and if I did something she didnt want me doing, she would grab a wire coat-hanger, and commence to beating my ass compassionately with it. We were all just dysfunctional enough to keep me humble, and come away with the sense of humor that I have today, and hopefully will be able to pass on to my daughters.. But honestly, I had no idea what a spoiled little shit I was, until I had kids of my own. My mom loved me, she took care of me, she fed me (Burger King) and she clothed me. She was always the best dressed, prettiest mom.. and to this day, she still is. And today, I hope she and her twin sis (Joan Gibson. my second mom) have the best birthday ever. I love you Janet Ward P.S. Please remember how nice this note was, when your granddaughters are teenagers, and I ask to move back in with you & dad. And will you babysit this weekend? ♥
