Just an update of thoughts this evening ... with one main theme ... 1. The initial group of FB ski friends invited to join SKI.HUB (albeit just 22 of you) was heavily male-biased, which I only realised after the act. Id appreciate your help in rectifying that, in the interests of a balance that reflects the ski community. Theres no rush, but when/if we put out a bigger invitation it might be constructive to achieve a 50/50 balance, and then see how things go. 2. On that front, I was thinking that 4 out of the 6 editors I worked for on the SCGBs magazine since 1976 were female (Elisabeth Hussey, Tessa Coker, Jane Slade and Gill Williams) and often had a very progressive and democratic approach. The gender balance of skiing might be a good model for other aspects of human activity. 3. Remember that this is really not intended to be a proprietorial project. Ill happily post news, info, video and all the other stuff ... but its set up as a public group (as is WTF) ... and anyone can post, or invite friends to join etc. Its everyones, and Id anticipate the admin to be shared by a few members of the group ... probably not me. Ill post some more stuff tomorrow. Night night.
