Just arrived in Luang Prabang with a killer headache after a second day on a slow boat. Landed in the outskirts of the city and had to endure a tuk-tuk ride through fumes and a dusty road, which made things even worse. Then I arrived at the guesthouse and went straight to bed after taking two Advil pills. Two hours later I got up, feeling a lot better. Went for a stroll into town and found it amazing. Huge night market, lovely people (no one harassing you), nice vibe to the place... It made me feel a lot like I did in Jordan : for no special reason yet, I feel at home. Now this sixty year old guy british gentleman sitting at the table next to me has the same perfume my grandfather used to wear, and which I never smelled since. If you believe in signs... ;)
