Just enjoyed the Sunday Buffet BBQ with Paul and his guests @ Castaway. Heres the Menu: Dinner rolls. For salads: potato salads, pawpaw salads, coleslaw, tossed greens, tomato and cucumber. BBQ was Mahimahi, steak, chicken and pork. (Taro chips wouldve been nice with this menu). Then followed by ice cream with fruit salad. Castaway is Under new Ownership and Management A small group of friends and family have invested in this quaint boutique resort. The resort has been completely renovated with the addition of a new bar right on the beach, named Wilson’s Beach Bar. Two of the new owners are Paul and Michelle, who have worked for years in the corporate world and travelled extensively but prefer the island life. Paul has worked in many different industries as a senior executive and in his capacity as a business consultant is currently providing advice and support to other businesses in Rarotonga. Paul having experienced the emotional trauma of the earthquakes in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2010 he understands people’s need to get away and to relax. Michelle on the other hand, is a former Miss Cook Islands and represented the Cook Islands at the first Miss South Pacific held in Western Samoa. She was also the first Cook Islands representative to compete in Miss World held in London in 1986. For over 20 years she worked with the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs as a Senior Executive. Michelle is returning home with Paul and both are excited to give back to the islands, develop other economic opportunities and support the growing tourism industry. They take pleasure in welcoming you to Rarotonga and informing you about the local culture and what the Island has to offer. castawayvillas/
