Just finished watching #TheSoundOfMusic film, obviously in preparation. I know there are some differences between the show and the film, as there always is, but the film AS A FILM is very fun. Films made during its time would possibly go on for three hours, but thankfully, this film doesnt seem to lose steam until near the very end. The writing is smart, and also pretty witty at times, and the music is just... awesome. Its the Sound of Music guys. Memorable doesnt even begin to describe it. Everything else is fine until the very end, when things start to feel a bit stretched out. My problems truly stem from the plot, seeing as it feels like it kinda goes on a little too long with the escape subplot. So, in truth, I should just blame the source material, but honestly, the film shouldve kept things a tad shorter. Again, film and theatre are two VERY different mediums. Directors must take this into account during adaptations. I recommend watching it, if you ever get the time. Its a tad long, but enjoyable nonetheless. 8/10 - Great
