Just finished watching the funeral ceremony of one of the murdered officers of the NYPD, WenJen Liu. Extremely sad and it just made me think and relate to him as far as family up bringing. I am normally low key and cautious when it comes to expressing my feelings here on FB but I will say the following: Its important for parents to teach their children about respect for others (especially the elderly) as well for themselves. The character of respect starts at home not necessarily in school. We live in a modern society that respect is diminishing day by day which will eventually lead to destruction and an uncivilized society. I understand we live in a nation that holds the fundamental right of freedom of speech but setting a tone of violence through social media or protests will never be the answer rather a loss of respect, integrity, ethics, and dignity. I support and commend all those men and women who serve for the NYPD and any law enforcement agency with their mission of serving for the public interest and safety. RIP Officer Ramos and Officer Liu.
