Just found out that Marin isnt just playing on the WHS golf team, but she is currently the number 2 player on the team! One of the boys on the team shot 84 at the Herndon Centennial tournament but Marins 101 was the second best score on the team. For matches against other high schools, the four best players (based on previous tournament or match scores) automatically play the next match or tournament. The remaining two slots are open and filled based on qualifying in practice that week. Just like playing varsity as a freshman is something Marin doesnt completely understand being a big deal, she seems unphased by the fact that shes (at least right now) the second best player on the team ... beating all the other boys. Love my daughter. Play like a girl ... beat the boys. :-) Posted this before, but this is my favorite video of her golf swing. Gotta love the nonchalant club twirl. My little gunslinger. :-)
