Just got off a call with my parents telling me how proud they are of me and how they enjoy listening to my voice. For those that really know me, know Im often horrible at keeping in touch with the people that matter most in my life.. I remember how at an early age Id watch my mother sing and bring the room to tears with emotion.. She inspired me so much back then that all I could think of was wanting to sing with conviction like her.. I later grew into one of those kids with amazing parents that did everything they could to try and keep me out of trouble while I stubbornly rebelled with every ounce of energy.. I cant help but feel completely overwhelmed by hearing them both tell me how proud they are of me and hearing my father and mother tell me that they love my voice.. I know, I know, parents naturally love and support their children but if you really known me you will completely understand the gravity of that phone call.. Thank you so much for being my light even when I was too blind to see...
