Just learned that and ED doc that I worked very closely with as a clinician and as a senior manger has died. I knew he was sick. But the news still sucks just the same. He was from back east like me. He understood a lot of the frustration that I felt when I would mention or introduce concepts that had been standard of care back there for years but were very new to the Zona since things seem to trickle from East to West and it takes a few years for them to do so. He also knew a lot of the same places that I knew as far as places I had been as a travel nurse or just in travels in general. It was a welcome break sometimes to talk about that sometimes. He was also a fine physician, a fair man to his staff and , as I would chat with him after meetings getting to know him a little as a person, he seemed to be a good, humble , kind man. Rest in peace Frank.
