Just ordered a few Daiwa Steez spinning rods for personal use. They are finesses worm and jig rod for freshwater fishing, and are ideal for downshot and wacky rig. But Ill be using it for squid fishing. Steez SPX MegaTop comes with solid graphite on the tip section. The tip section is thinner in diameter and softer than tubular blank thats made by wrapping the graphite material on the mandrel. Steez SPX MegaTop comes with Fuji titanium guides. This solid tip blank with soft tip will allow me to visually detect subtle bites before squid knows its hooked. Steez SVF AGS seriew is new to the market this year. It comes with traditional tubular tip unlike the SPX MegaTop. The blank features SVF (super high volume fiber) technology; more graphite and less resin. Steez SVF AGS comes with Daiwas AGS guides that features carbon frames. AGS guides are super light; the weight of a set of AGS guides equals to the weight of a butt guide of a titanium framed guide.
