Just received this email and just had to share it! In November of 1994, I had the distinct pleasure of being a member of the South Dakota All-State chorus as a freshman in high school. Your direction of that chorus lit a fire under a young musician, and while I participated in four All-State choruses as a student and witnessed my younger brothers participate in another 10 All-State choruses total, I never witnessed a choral arrangement more worldly, diverse, and, frankly, fun as the arrangement you put together then. My niece was an alternate for this years All-State, and when I learned of her opportunity to possibly work with you, I was absolutely delighted. As I have watched this evenings performance, I may have finally seen an arrangement akin of that 1994 performance. Thank you for the passion you have for music and the heart you bring to every performance. Twenty years after I had the opportunity to work with you, you once again blessed the state with another tremendous performance. Just a note to let you know that the work youve done, even in these short weekend choral concerts with such a massive group to get all on one accord have made impacts that last a lifetime.
