Its Friday!!! Im in Love!! :D In a few weeks every day will be Friday for me!! I cant wait!! :D A reporter once asked John Lennon how his everyday life was. John said that its not like everyone elses, you know, getting up early to go to work every day. He said he looks at the day as an artist does, sleeping late and enjoying the good things in life. Yes, the good things that are missed when one has to rush around and put up with the stress of a 9-5 job. I have been working full time ever since I was 19 or 20. Thats 43 or 44 years of getting up early every day, scraping off the car windshield in the cold, dark winters or sadly looking at the beautiful spring, summer, and autumn mornings and heading into work for a stress filled day. This will cease at the end of the month. I am looking forward to a much more relaxed life where theres no stress of rush orders, quality holds, late vendor shipment of components, components lost by the carriers in inclement weather, rework of finished goods, customer service continually asking me when something will ship, and having my name as the point person in a scathing email where several higher ups are copied and all are waiting for my reasons why things didnt happen. Add to that being called on the carpet for too much inventory or too little inventory, how I didnt meet my goals, why I didnt set my new goals yet, why I didnt do my yearly review yet, why my money saving project isnt finished yet, why it didnt save more, and why other folks havent completed their tasks that stop me from completing my own tasks. Believe me, I wont miss this at all! In the meantime, Im still putting up with work and its Friday. Im in love!! :D
