Katherine..... After rolling into town on Sunday afternoon I wasnt expecting much, and sure enough I made a few bad decisions.... My choice of camp for the night - a $110 mistake....followed by my second choice for dinner - and for a straight up complete F$&@ up my choice of watering hole. Never been hit up for that many smokes in my life by the natives !!!! Oh well maybe the following day would be better.... So yesterday morning i got ready to leave, shut the door and locked my boots in the room... Hour and a half later I could set out for Cutta Cutta Caves, which Id read about and is supposed to be magic, however its closed until the start of tourist season (April) so another double fail. Headed for Catherine Gorge and missed the 9am tour boat by 3mins!!!! Oh well, took advantage of the walking trails and it was clear it made up for everything, hard yakka but 8kms if bush will be just that!!! Got back, had lunch and went on the 2pm boat, up the gorge, swimming at a rock pool, checking out Aboriginal rock art, and taking it all in....wow what a place!!!! Spotted a croc too....;)
