Ken took his turn sleeping downstairs to keep Abby company so she didnt run back & forth to the whelping box all night long. I had hoped after giving her all the medications from the Vet for her double infection (vaginal & teats) that the pain meds would make her sleep...wrong assumption. Puppies are doing well with the change to puppy chow made soft by whole milk,but Abby still thinks she should be in the whelping box & nursing them & that cant be. Wish they had given her a shot to dry up her milk,that would have been so helpful. Abby will be having surgery next week, I feel so bad for her but I guess we should be thankful for the 1 litter of pups she was able to have.
