Respected organisations such as Lifeline, World Vision Australia and the RSPCA Australia have all called for the government to maintain transparency and accountability within the not-for-profit sector by keeping the commission intact. The charities commission helps ensure the donations Australians generously give go to genuine charities. If Kevin Andrews really wants to ensure the efficient and transparent operation of Australia’s charity sector, then the only real option is to keep the charities commission.
