Khurshid Ganai chairs meeting of HDD JAMMU, DECEMBER 19: Financial Commissioner Industries and Commerce, Mr Khurshid Ahmed Ganai today convened a high level meeting of officers of the Handloom Development Department and Bankers regarding Weavers Credit Card (WCC) cases. Besides, Chief General Manager NABARD, Mr Shankar A. Pande, Senior Vice President, J&K Bank, representatives of SLBC, Lead Bank Managers of Kashmir and Jammu Divisions attended the meeting. After threadbare discussions, the Financial Commissioner stressed on Bankers to sanction all the pending cases sponsored by the Handloom Development Department. He directed the field functionaries of the department to put in all efforts and sponsor more cases so as to give maximum coverage to the weaver community and achieve assigned targets. Speaking on the occasion, the CGM, NABARD drew the attention of the Bankers regarding the requisition of funds in respect of WCCs margin money and interest subvention. On the occasion, the Director Handloom, Mr T. Angchok gave a power point presentation about the importance of weaver credit card scheme and its implementation in the state. Deputy Director Handloom Jammu, Mrs Namrita Dogra presented vote of thanks.
