Kind of funny but this is an important share especially for those of you with fat kitties or dogs or those that have diabetic pets. Many folks are feeding grain-free kibble diets assuming theyre doing the best. But Im here to tell you that there are 2 kinds of grain-free kibbles for your pet. One kind is very high in carbohydrates such as peas, pea fiber, white potatoes and in some cases sweet potatoes with only a small amount of animal protein in the bag. An example of this is Natures Domain from Costco or Taste of the Wild that also include animal digest to up the palatability factor for your pet. This kind of grain-free product can make your pet fat nor does it fuel long term health. The best diet for weight loss and diabetic animals would be a raw food diet. But if you choose a kibble then a high animal protein/very low carbohydrate product like Orijen is your best choice.
