Know what I loved about yesterdays NFL playoff games?? Refs, rules and outside influence did not decide the outcome. The games were played the way life should be: Do your very best. Play with passion. Focus on the now. Work as a team, ignore the external forces. Family first. Power past fear with abandon. Live outside the playbook and dare to be different. Be brave. Support one another when down, celebrate the victories as one. Laugh in the face of the naysayers. A moment of failure, quickly turns to triumph. Play fair. Improve your vitality by being strong and fit. Live in the possible, embrace the perception of the negative and move through with focus, determination and love for what you do. And...HAVE FUN. The results of life challenges are not in our hands. So happy to watch games where outside forces like slow, middle-aged men with whistles didnt determine the final score. Elite athletes should have the most influence on outcome, not the actions of the mediocre or power hungry. We can use that lesson, by looking within our hearts and souls for the answers to the path to glory, while eschewing the ones who wont join you on the highest road, calling penalties and concocting rules to stall your drive. We should all look around to see who pulls out the flags on us. When they do, move on. If we can, take away the power we hand them and do our very best to keep our energy focused on our personal plan for victorious happiness. Gotta say, that Seattle Seahawks comeback was historic and I didnt see it coming. Like many, I thought they were done and doubted they could come back. But look at how symbolic this is. In a 3 hour contest, worlds shifted. In an instant, perception was challenged and a goal was realized. It shows us how we should all play our game till the very end, till our hearts final tick.
