Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwell with in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy, which temple ye are((Cor.3:16-17). Let us cleanse ourselves from all filth ones of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God(2Cor7:1) Ye are the temple of God which temple is...holy Therefore it must be cleansed from all filth ones, both of the flesh and of the spirit. There may have been gross, vulgar, even sensuous sins in the life of he past. Perhaps we are rid of those grosser, fleshly sins, but what of those which still defile our innermost spirit? We used to lie. Now we would not tell a deliberate, out-and-out lie, but there is hypocrite, deceit, double dealing. Even in our Christian experience there is a profession of Christ which is not evidenced in our possession of Christ. Formerly we had a violent temper in which we gave way constantly. Now there is a large measure of control of outward burst of temper. But what about that secret irritability and impatience in the spirit? Once we frankly and outward hated seine and said so. Now that is sin to us, but is there still lurking in some dark corner of the heart the jealousy or resentment that caused the hate? We would not openly quarrel with someone as we once did, but if we cross to the other side of the street. And we think we are victorious, spiritual Christians not needing cleaning. If you allow a little hurt to sink down into the depths of your heart, and you nurse it, it will rob you of peace of heart, joy in Bible study and prayer and your passion for lost souls. More than that you will end up with physical illness. A little hurt in the heart hidden away in a human heart will do damage. Is there anything if this kind deep down in your spirit? If so, will you cleanse yourself of it today. If we confess our sins , He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all righteousness.(1John1:9) He that covereth his sins, shall not proper: but whosoever confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy(Pro.28:13). So dont hold stuff, get rid of it, cause if you dont you cant move spiritually or physically. We cant not afford to hold even a spark of known resentment or hurt or unlove or any un-Christlike feeling toward another. We shall pray in vain. And our Christian service will be in vain. You know when you dislike a person and you know when you are jealous of a person.
