Kofi Freeman Writes: A Brief Insight into How NDC Wins Elections in Ghana: Before I bugger off from this addictive Facebook Ghana Politics I have to bring to the attention of protagonists of NPP factions how their rival NDC wins Elections in Ghana: NDC has a serious recruitment agency in each Constituency: They pick up and retain individuals who can talk a lot in the community: Well known local talkatives, Pastors, Jujumen, Palace and Tribal Linguists, jobless loud mouthed individuals; family spokesmen; leaders of local opinions, student leaders; vocal women and singers who man their bases with Public Loudspeakers churning out propaganda all year long. They know those who can talk in the Constituencies and would recruit them with money and goodies. They could be NPP supporters but once they are in their grip they compromise them with bribes, and use them against their NPP. Check the personal profile of well known NDC supporters in your area to see whether am lying. I was once recruited into NDC because the guy said they knew I was a good platform speaker in the University of Cape Coast; they did not mind my political background as a dye in the wool UP and I also took the opportunity to learn their benumbing activities. NDC Musical Bands: They have a lot of musical Bands; Borborbo, kpanlogo bands, Brass bands and several vocal groups. They have invested in these Bands for a purpose - to use them in social functions notably Funerals and party political campaigns. NDC used to rely on Ghana Fire Service bands until they decided to have their own bands, which play free of charge at the funerals of their supporters. They have a Band in every major town, and it works like magic. They then use these Bands for their campaign. When I observed this, I tried it by making a Band for NPP and it worked like magic in our campaign where we play my favourite music -NDC Sakabo wodze kusi ye nkwan - but NDC people already have many of such bands with paid musicians and band rewarded with stipends and goodies. Funerals: Whiles Nana Akuffo Addo turns up at major Funerals of known NPP Activists, NDC has already perfected this art to great political effect: They identify poor families who struggle to bury them: They would approach the families that the said individual was their member and offer them Coffins; Mortuary fees and sometimes Bands to play at the funeral; they also have a well organised Food Unit who cook Banku and Fish or Jollof rice takeaway with their Akatamanso NDC insignia (I have attended some of these funerals and given such tasteless ndc takeaways) MONEY: NDC do not bother with costly Public Rallies anymore. It is for the NPP to show off their knowledge and booklong. They would rather share the money to the poor electorate: Simple...Their MPs would use the Polling Register to identify poor families in the local communities and then go round to share the monies to them at Dawn. They move from house to house giving out monies to poor elderly people with a simple message that the NDC MP has seen your plight and hereby offer their widow mite for your prayers, and off they go to another house. There are by far more rich people in NDC than NPP...They have in their control all the government properties they sold to themselves..all these corrupt contractors, importers, drug dealers, businessmen car owners political appointees etc FUEL: So long as there is Oil in the Ghana Ocean to be exploited, I do not see how NPP can ever win political power from these greedy NDC people. NDC leaders are building Petrol Stations for political reason. They have already shared One Million Motorbikes used for political campaign and free cars to their cronies and associates, who need fuel to campaign in the rural areas whiles NPP people remain in Accra and Kumasi doing their photoshoots. They are given fuel at identifiable fuel stations to enable them travel to inaccessible hinterlands and villages who have no Facebook to churn out wild goose chase. Fuel is given to selected Trotro, Taxi and other Commercial Drivers and would ask them to tune into identifiable radio stations. NDCs have taken over the Pre-Mix Fuel in the coastal fishing villages: They have placed a levy on it, which is collected into a Pool and physically shared to local fishermen. This practice is common along the coast. The Central Region Ministers, Tawiah Quansah and EKT Addo are the masters of this tactical game. FM Stations: Most of the local F M Stations are owned by NDC now. They have invested heavily into this area to disseminate their vitriolic abuse at NPP leaders. They pay serial radio propagandists who are given phone cards to ring radio stations to churn out lies to unsuspecting minds. Most of the FM Stations are located in densely populated areas with high rate of illiteracy employing sharp witted talkative propagandists to lie and lie and lie through their flat noses to win votes. 90% of local FM radio Stations are owned by NDC supporters, whiles NPP owns less than 5%... NDC Sheds: Ghana is very hot and jobless people need places to hang around. The rich corrupt NDC functionaries have constructed sheds in many local communities, where they connect Cable TV that shows Premier League Football Free of Charge to their teeming supporters. From time to time their Party leaders would go to these Sheds and give them monies to buy Akpeteshie and food whiles they lazily while away the time...uselessly. NDC Contractors and Rich Crooks: They are many and function as a political entity...They are given contracts and expected to pay 20%Commission to the NDC kitty. They do not mind the shoddy job they would do so long as they bankroll the local party...These people are the main financiers of the party, whiles our leaders use their hard earned monies to sponsor political activities until they get tired and run away from their own demanding supporters. NPP can counter this by serious membership contributions but this would even be difficult as President Kufuor government did not help their own NPP supporters with jobs, contracts and real positions...NPP is broke whiles NDC is swimming in money and Ghana Politics is not merely selling message but using money to cook rice and stew to share to hungry people; paying their childrens fees and helping with hospital bills, all of these NDC leaders invest in to great effect, whiles NPP leaders run away from their own supporters... Internal Party Political Organisation: So many NPP people, even here on Facebook would wish there is conflict in NDC but this would never happen so long as there is power to win for economic gains in their lifetime. Like divisive ewes who would come together against outsiders, NDC has experienced, serious minded Politicians who regard Politics as serious business and engage in highly skilled internal negotiation to resolve leadership struggles and unnecessary bickering and empty leadership contests. Check the way Mahama was elected when Atta Mills died or how Spio Garbrah has been recruited into its fold to avert his perceived contest against the incumbent John Dramani Mahama: No Drama, unlike the superfluous year by year Internal Elections in NPP that goes on and on forever and ever until the party becomes divided and weak and fractious and incapable of coming together to fight as a Unit against a common enemy...NPP likes too much democracy! Media Influence: On top of their media work is Kofi Totobi Quakyi - Head of National Communications Authority. He has recruited Ghanaians from USA, Europe etc to project the image of their Party and disseminate their party philosophy. With Mahamas own belief in propaganda learnt from his forebears and Masters programme, Media men have become like gold dust to the ruling Party. They are many now - Omane Boamah, Hamilton, Enninful, Kwakye, Atuguba, Roger, Murtala, Kwesi Pratt, Randy Abbey Desoso, and uncountable spokespersons who say the same thing over and over like a crack record until NPP people cower into their shells... United Cadre Front (UCF): Established in all the major regional capitals is this Umbrella Organisation that supervises activities of the old members of CDO, CDR, PDC, WDC, JFM, TFDWM, Militia, Commandos and the NDC Footsoldiers. This is where they pour in their monies for their supporters to walk miles to campaign for the Party, under the active supervision of mean spirited committed corrupt longstanding organisers. The heads of UCF have been given contracts to build for themselves houses so that they can take the work seriously. Security Network: NDC Government has influenced all the countrys security agencies by their appointments and directives. if you are not from an NDC family, you would never be employed. Therefore BNI, Ghana Army, Ghana Police, Fire service, Customs and Excise and many Statutory bodies are controlled by NDC supporting Individuals. They have all tied their livelihood and survival to the fortunes of the ruling NDC Government, and these people have many children to send abroad to go to Schools (NDC children are all Overseas for security reasons). They are the Armed Wing of the NDC and they protect the government in exchange of elaborate reward schemes. That is why Ghana has no money despite the loans and revenues. The money is shared among all these people I have mentioned above. There is more ....but weary of it all as I seek nothing from wretched Ghana Politics, except my sorrow for poor people whose monies, the corrupt NDC uses to bribe Chiefs, Mallams, Pastors, Journalists, Drivers, Fishermen, market Queens Obaahemas, State lawyers and every corrupt person who places personal interests above national goals. I will never stop loving NPP - the Party of my fathers: I now retire from the Facebook to attend to my personal issues. NPP can go to war over the protracted leadership question that never ceases. I now unfriend all these numerous NPP people to save my peace of mind. I dedicate my article to all my numerous boyhood friends who have died in Ghana before the age of 50 years...I love you - Kallie, Papa Essoun, Teas, Nab etc...I know you would all be alive if you had lived in a good country as I do now
