Koopera Reusing Center reutiliza 2.014 t en su primer año de funcionamiento Koopera Reusing Center ha conseguido reutilizar en Bizkaia, en su primer año de funcionamiento, 2.014 toneladas, lo que supone el 77% de los materiales recogidos. Además, el retorno económico a la Administración pública asciende a 2.062.287 € y se han creado 264 puestos de trabajo, según ha informado la Diputación foral vizcaína. Ubicada en Mungia, Koopera Reusing Center se inauguró en 2012. Con una inversión de 6,5 M€, contó con el respaldo de Diputación en un 15% y del Gobierno vasco en otro 15%. Es la primera planta automatizada a nivel estatal que desarrolla la gestión de todo tipo de objetos (ropa, complementos, calzado, libros, juguetes, aparatos electrónicos, pequeños electrodomésticos, bazar, etc.) para su reutilización. Las nuevas tecnologías aplicadas en Koopera Reusing Center han permitido aumentar, en su primer año, la fracción de materiales recuperables de Bizkaia. Asimismo, ha disminuido la generación de residuo, dándose un mayor impulso a la opción estratégica de la prevención. Para optimizar el proceso de tratamiento de los artículos que entran a esta planta vizcaína, en Koopera Reusing Center se ha implementado un sistema de clasificación y tratamiento automatizado que incorpora tecnología de reconocimiento de voz, una infraestructura en la que fueron invertidos 6 M€. Este innovador dispositivo permite la reutilización de todo tipo de objetos en la misma instalación con un criterio de eficiencia económica y ambiental, que ahorra mucho tiempo. --------------------------------------------------------- Koopera Reusing Center reuses 2,014 t in first year of operation In its first year of operation in Bizkaia, the Koopera Reusing Center has managed to reuse a total of 2,014 tonnes, representing 77% of the material collected. Moreover, the financial benefit to the Public Administration amounted to €2,062,287 € and a total of 264 jobs were created, according to figures released by the Provincial Government of Bizkaia. Located in Mungia, the Koopera Reusing Center was inaugurated in 2012, with a total investment of €6.5 million. 15% of this sum was financed by the Provincial Government and a further 15% by the Government of the Basque Country. It is the first automated plant at state level to manage all types of objects (clothes, accessories, footwear, books, toys, electronic equipment, small household appliances, houseware, etc.) for subsequent reuse. The new technologies implemented at the Koopera Reusing Center have enabled an increase in the recoverable material fraction in Bizkaia in the first year of operation. This has led to a corresponding decrease in the generation of waste and given a boost the strategic option of waste prevention. In order to optimise the treatment process of articles entering the Bizkaia plant, the Koopera Reusing Center has implemented an automated sorting and treatment system featuring voice recognition, an infrastructure which required investment of €6 million. This innovative system enables the reuse of all types of objects at a single facility, using criteria of economic and environmental efficiency, whilst also providing considerable savings in time.
