LANSING PARKS 2014 YOUTH BASKETBALL REGISTRATION STARTS SOON Lansing Parks and Recreation will be conducting registration for youth in grades one through six for the winter basketball program beginning Wed., Oct. 1. Registration takes place through Oct. 31, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation office, located in the Lansing Activity Center, 108 S. 2nd Street. Participation fees are $45 per Lansing registrant, due at the time of registration. Non-residents are welcome to register for an increased fee of $50 per youth. Registrations may not be taken after Oct. 31. If late registration is accepted, a late fee of $10 per participant will be charged. A scholarship program is available for qualifying individuals – contact the Parks office. The deadline for scholarship applications is Wed., Oct. 15. A Skills Day will not be held for this program. Practices will begin in December and games will begin in January after the holiday break and run through March. Registration for participants in 7th/8th grade will be held at a later date. Refunds will not be offered after the equipment/jersey order is placed on November 7, 2014.
