LETS FACILITATE THE REALIZATION OF TRIBALISM AS A LEGITIMATE POLITICAL UNDERTAKING! Politics of ethnicity will rule this country until that day when we will come to our senses of appreciating and legitimizing it,in other African countries where ethnicity and cultural groupings define them ,they have tribal leaders and a well choreagraphed mode of satisfactorily sharing out elective slots minus any feud ! Since election is all about numbers and these numbers are well guarded in ethnic-baskets you wll find that any political protagonist who want to easily sail through will be attracted to his/her tribe first before anything else! Those swift to brand others as tribalists are living in naivety and utopia, lets fairly study at our top-three political supremos in our country for example ;HE UK, HE WSR and RAO, who among them doesnt have over 90% support-base from their ethnical backyard! what is that call in crystal clear terms? Those leaders who miserably failed to capture elective positions in the Kenyan political space are those who employ; non-tribal approach , who try to woo Kenyan-voters beyond tribe and those leaders who think that Kenyans will easily be influenced to start seeing Kenya being bigger than their own tribe! Hon. Peter Kenneth and Prof.James Ole Kiyapi in their quest for presidency in the last general election exclusively painted themselves as ideologists rather than ethnic entreprenuers contrary to the realty on the ground , what did we see! The country is so divided along tribal lines that non of the two so called non-tribalists would have even won an MCA seat! As 2017 is swiftly approaching we are seeing all sorts of political realignment, my own home-county Trans Nzoia isnt exceptional. The recently concluded hotly-contested ward by-election in Matumbei where a URP-candidate triumphantly swept has ignited and raised political temperatures to a level that we cant ignore no more , and all these are in readiness for 2017! In the last general election Ethnicity as a political ideology did give birth to negotiated democrasy , that saw sharing of county slots among tribes, the county CEO seat was a preserve for the tribe perceived to be mightier numerically but this time round I foresee a different scenario;smaller ethnic tribes commonly referred back in my home as others may be a determinant! The point am trying to drive home is that its high time as peoples of Kenya come out and map out and facilitate the realization and legitimization of #tribalism as a legitimate political undertaking. In 2013 the prevailings resulted to negotiated democrasy, why can we constitionalize this, in the eagerly awaited 2017 I foresee another political unifier
