LIFE ON OUR NUT FARM – OVERTIME SHIFT Because we live on an Island, Michael’s duties include water safety. Whidbey Island has over 400 miles of salt-water beaches. Today, many of the deputies attended a Marine Safety program. That required the supervisors to cover their regular patrol shifts. In spite of coming home last night at near 10:00 PM, he rose this morning at 5:30 AM and was back in his patrol car soon after. He was immediately involved in a long running case that resulted in him never reaching his office. Michael spent the entire day outside, and when he arrived home, an hour ago, the sun shining all day…He was sun burned! Michael usually carries sun block, although this is early in the season, he is now glowing. However, he is also glowing because he was successful in the case that resulted in the resolution of numerous criminal cases… I also rose with him at O dark hundred! I worked on art and planning projects and photo shoots for upcoming ads and mailers. Praying that the sunny weather will hold for one more day, for outside pictures, because, Michael had to work today! You know our photo shoots are near the top of my Favorite List! Also, on the list, packing for Quilt Market. Glad Michael is home this evening, we are watching American Idol tonight. BTW, he already put the sunblock in his patrol car! Happy Thursday!
