LONG MARCH Q) Will the Govt. back out of its decision to invoke call in the Army for the security of Islamabad? A) It has been made with the consensus of PM (being on Umra is just an excuse). If it backs out, there should be reshuffling of cabinet and bureaucracy, starting with the Interior Minister. Q) Will PTI back out of its decision of Long March to avoid Army confrontation? A) Highly unlikely. It would greatly damage its image. Q) Can Army refuse to come in? A) No. It has no choice in the matter. If it does, it is like an undeclared coup. Q) What will likely happen? A) Army will control security and a reduced amount of long marchers will enter Islamabad. Q) What is my humble opinion? A) Politics of confrontation is harming the already severely damaged economy of Pakistan. Opposition has to realize that the pen is mightier than the sword. Rauf Kadri Pakistan Economic Reform Party
