Lack of access to quality education is preventing millions of people from escaping the cycle of extreme poverty around the world. Approximately 40% of Solomon Islanders are illiterate. The bottom line for World Vision is a world without extreme poverty, and that is why I am partnering with them, and they partner with developing communities to achieve this. There needs transformational development that is community-based and sustainable - World Vision do this! They believe in a hand up, not a hand out and education is hugely important for sustainable change. Where better to make a change than your own backyard - the Solomon Islands.
