Last night I finished The Story of You by Katy Regan. I cried for some time after finishing the book, not just because it was a deeply moving ending but because the book as a whole touched me in ways that only the best kinds of books can. It is a fantastic, beautiful, haunting and addictive read, full of laughter and nostalgia and perfectly-exposited and very raw emotional journeys. Some of the characters are quite extraordinary. In fact they all are ! Not a bum note. Not a word out of place. A perfect novel, which I am incredibly sad to have finished.
