Last night I set off to Derby an hour early in order to settle down for an early night, only I arrived at the usual time, thanks to congestion on the M6. It could have been worse wed just got going and I heard a bang, checked my rear-view mirror and so the remains of sparks coming from one of my trailer wheels. They went as quickly as they arrived and the handling wasnt awry, so I slowed and drove about 0.25 of a mile before pulling on the hard shoulder in as safe a place as possible (straight section with a verge). There was nothing wrong with the wheel so I guess I ran over debris in the dark. My plan is to get to bed earlier and earlier, rising equally earlier the next day. Im trying to build up to a 04:55 rise on Thursday.
