Last night I soaked beans from an Amish bean soup mix I bought at the Ashery. Then this afternoon I cooked up a huge pot with the ham base ( I had bought there also) and used the delicious honey glazed ham vacuumed sealed from Easter dinner. I had added some onion carrots and celery. I let it simmer for hours. So excited for my homemade Amish soup I sat down to a bowl and it was like eating spoonfuls of salt! (I never added any salt just the ham soup base) I am so disappointed . Gerrrrrrr.
